Tennessee senior Chamique Holdsclaw became only the fourth four-time
honoree when the 1999 Division I women's basketball Kodak All-America
team was announced Thursday.
The 10-member squad was selected by the Women's Basketball Coaches
Association. It was announced during the WBCA's annual convention held in
conjunction with the NCAA Final Four in San Jose, Calif.
Holdsclaw joins Ann Meyers from UCLA (1975-78), Lynette Woodard
from Kansas (1978-81) and Cheryl Miller from USC (1983-86) as the only
four-time honorees.
The standout forward was joined on the 1999 team by teammates Tamika
Catchings and Semeka Randall.
The other 1999 Kodak All-Americans are: Svetlana Abrosimova from
Connecticut, Becky Hammon from Colorado State, Maylana Martin from
UCLA, Kelly Miller from Georgia, Michele VanGorp from Duke, Stephanie
White-McCarty from Purdue and Amanda Wilson from Louisiana Tech.
