She's considered by many
to be the best female
basketball player in the
college game, and maybe
even in the world. She's led
her University of Tennessee
team, the Lady Vols, to three
championships in a row and is
en route to a fourth—a feat of
which not even Michael Jordan
or famed UCLA coach John
Wooden can boast. She was a
star on the U.S. National
Team that included such
players as Dawn Staley, Lisa
Leslie and Ruthie
Bolton-Holifield. She's even
turned down multi-million dollar
endorsement contracts to stay
in school and finish out her
senior year. And, in the latest
in a string of amazing feats,
she tied Tennessee's career
scoring record (2,450 points)
with a 12-point performance
over Duke last Sunday.
If you don't know the
name Chamique
Holdsclaw yet, you soon
will.
