The Mystics saw a 19-point, second-half lead cut to 72-71 on Stephanie McCarty's 3-pointer with 6.6 seconds remaining. But Chamique Holdsclaw hit a pair of free throws to extend the lead before McCarty's potential game-tying 3-pointer was blocked by Muriel Page with two seconds left.
Holdsclaw finished with 22 points.
